This top is very pretty and well-made. It is indeed see-through, but on the right person would look very nice over a tank or camisole. I am not that person. Bummer. I'm way too top heavy, but this would definitely work on small-busted women.

Loved wearing this blouse! Beautiful collar to show off neck and frame face. Long length to tuck in shirt and not worry about your shirt coming out when you lift your arms. Looks gorgeous with a nude colored cami underneath. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because some of the material around the collar was frayed. Bought a size larger because cotton will shrink some. Great buy on sale!

I am crazy about this shirt! I loved it in the pictures I found online and in the catalog, but was apprehensive as EB's button down shirts don't usually fit me. I had a gift certificate though, and it was on sale so I went for it. I wanted a regular large, which was sold out at the time, so I ordered a large petite and Xlarge regular to see which fit better (I'm 5'4" and struggle between needing regular sizes around and petite sizes in length). I never even tried on the XL as the large petite fit perfectly. Not too tight, but still has shape. The ruffles are beautiful and add a great detail. I hadn't expected the ruffle collar to stand straight up all the way around my neck, but it only deterred me for a minute until I got used to it. It could look a bit "pirate-y" but I think it's beautiful. I've worn it un-tucked with dress pants, as well as tucked into a business skirt and felt very put together. I did spend quite a bit of time ironing though. Each pleat on the placket (the entire length of the shirt, and extra around the ruffles) needed to be ironed down after washing, as well as the ruffles to help them lay right in front and stand up in the back. That would be the one draw back for me. I did know it would be sheer, as the description said it's a lawn fabric, so knew I would need to wear a camisole under it which doesn't bother me. All in all a beautiful shirt that's very versatile.
Pros: comfortable, great fit, soft fabric, retains shape

This looks so great with a blazer or sweater that you button up to the ruffle. The ruffle then tumbles out without the fullness that a complete ruffle would give. It is so feminine and light weight material. I LOVE IT

Beautiful blouse; love the stand up collar and the ruffle front. Got it in the petite, and it fits pretty well- (the sleeves are a whisper too long, but my arms are always too short, even with petites).
The blouse itself is pretty thin, so you have to wear a camisole underneath.

I was looking forward to wearing this shirt. I thought it would be a great basic with sweaters this winter but the fabric is way too thin. It would have to be worn with a camisole. I would think it would look way too cheap to be worn without a sweater over it. Very disappointed with the quality of the fabric compared to most made by Eddie Bauer.

I really love the femine style of this shirt. Most of the reviews complain about the thinness of the material. When Eddie Bauer uses the word "lawn shirt" the material is thin. I have purchased "lawn shirts" before, and loved them. Yes, I will wear a white tank underneath. This one is great for winter time when you wear a blazer, cardigan, or low v-neck sweater. I have never had a problem with the quality of Eddie Bauer items, they have always proved to be of exceptional quality.

Excellent fit, will look great with many different items, year round opportunity. The collar will take a bit to get it to stand up correctly. The fabric was as expected. "Lawn" by definition is thin.

I ordered this blouse a few days ago when it was priced at 29.99. I saw the reviews but figured, what the heck if I don't like it I'll return it. I got it today and it's pretty much as most described. Thin fabric, a pain to iron, needs a cami beneath, etc. I would not keep it if I were paying full price, but it looks pretty so I will. There is definately something different about the quality of things I've ordered from EB in the last 6 months, and not in a good way. I've been shopping online with them for many years and I think they must be going with less expensive production.

This blouse is paper thin which is not at all displayed in the photo in the catalog or online. Worse though is to pay over $50 for a collar that is not hemmed or finished in any way!

The cut of this blouse is slightly fitted, which makes it very stylish with the ruffles. This is definitely not a blouse that can be worn without something under it, however. The material is so lightweight and delicate that it's almost see-through; it's like wearing a kleenex. :) I thought it would take me forever to iron the shirt after it arrived, but it wasn't that bad. I am very glad I got the blouse, in spite of what I cited above.

The ruffles on this shirt add interest, and I received several compliments when I wore it as it is more "girly" than the shirts from EB I usually wear. It looks nice under a sweater or blazer. However, it is very thin and a cami underneath is essential. The ruffled collar is unfinished, so I worry about unraveling, but line drying helps avoid wear and tear and shrinking. Ironing it is a pain with all the ruffles and little pin tucks. Overall, this shirt is too high priced for the quality.

I always go for the sporty or sleek & elegant styles, but this looked so gorgeous on the model in the catalog that I decided to try it. The ruffles in the front are well-balanced by the pintucks. But what I couldn't see from the picture in the catalog, and what killed it for me, was the high ruffled collar. It looked like a Bozo collar on me, and that ruffle has no hem so it will most likely fray when washed. Also, the fabric is quite sheer and it wouldn't take much to tear it. I'm returning this one.
Pros: soft fabric
Cons: fragile fabric disliked the collar
